The new energy vehicle industry is experiencing explosive growth. In the first half of this year, the cumulative production of automobiles in our province reached 781000 units, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. Among them, the production of new energy vehicles was 214000 units, a year-on-year increase of 94.1%.

Driven by multiple factors such as rapid industrial maturity and support from national consumption promotion policies, the demand for new energy vehicles in the market has surged since the beginning of this year. In the first half of the year, Jiangqi Group produced a total of 81600 new energy vehicles (including NIO), a year-on-year increase of 43.5%; NIO has delivered a total of 50800 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%; Chery Group has produced a total of 112000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 178%; Hualing Automobile has produced a total of 1740 new energy medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, a three fold increase compared to the same period last year. The sales volume of a single model of battery swapping tractor reached 521 units, ranking first in the market share and accounting for 6.8% of the national total.

The impressive "semi annual report" of the new energy vehicle industry is also due to strong measures to stabilize the industrial and supply chains. During the epidemic period in some regions of China in the first half of the year, our province sent letters to multiple provinces and cities to coordinate and solve problems such as poor logistics and supply shortages of parts for vehicle enterprises, guide enterprises to apply for travel permits, solve more than 80 problems related to our province on the national automotive industry supply chain smooth platform, coordinate relevant parts enterprises to resume work, production and transportation, and effectively ensure the circulation of the automotive industry supply chain.

We will actively implement the high-quality development plan of the automobile industry in the 14th Five Year Plan and the three-year action plan for the development of the new energy vehicle industry, and promote the accelerated development of the industry. The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology introduced that our province will adhere to the direction of electrification, networking, and intelligence development, support the cooperation of the whole enterprise in the province, promote the development of "host+supporting" and "chip car" synergy, promote the linkage and cooperation of the Yangtze River Delta automobile industry chain, accelerate the construction of Hefei battery swapping pilot cities, Hefei and Wuhu "dual intelligence" pilot cities, accelerate the construction of major projects, and strive to build a world-class industrial cluster of new energy vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles.
